What we should do in addition to showing mercy...

In addition to showing mercy and compassion we should also notice how our actions impact the life around us. As I stated in the paragraph before we have become a nation of consumers and in the long run our consumerism will be the death of a nation. The more we consume the less aware we are of the world around us. We are focused on impressing each other without the consequences of our actions. “We buy into the lie that we are insignificant and there is no way we could have a lasting impact on the people we rub shoulders with”(madradioshow.net) When you think of it we are all somewhat like teachers and parents. We have the capability to nuture and care for something until it can sustain life on its own. For example, when you begin to plant something you get concerned with how much water and sun the plant get as time passes you the laws of nature take over.
